jti — JWT ID

Location: payload · Format: string

A unique, case-sensitive identifier for this specific token, used to support replay-detection via a seen-jti cache or to correlate a token with logs. If an issuer setup involves multiple issuers, IDs must be namespaced (e.g. issuer-prefixed or a UUID) so two different issuers never mint the same value.

Defined in RFC 7519 §4.1.7.
